Fundraising for JDRF in the Piedmont Triad

Every dollar counts!

In addition to JDRF’s major fundraisers in the Piedmont Triad—our Walks, Ride Team, Hope Gala, and Golf Tournament—many JDRF supporters undertake other fundraisers and events to raise money so JDRF can fund even more diabetes research.

Many families sell JDRF Walk Bears by Plushland to raise more money. Others ask local merchants to sell paper sneakers or put out change jars, with all proceeds benefiting JDRF. Some kids run lemonade stands, while others host more elaborate hot dog/chips/drink stands.

Right here in the Piedmont Triad, the Parrot Heads of the Triad and American Legion Post 55 in Winston-Salem have hosted the “Slice of Life Island Party” and the American Legion Riders Poker Run to benefit JDRF every year since 2000.
